If I Could Have Any Bag In The World It Would Be… Part One

Like I could really just choose one- for starters. I’ve been perusing PurseBlog.com here of late, drooling over their articles and beautiful pictures of bags. It got me to thinking, if I could have any bag I wanted, what would it be?

I do have a small Fendi bag, my very first designer handbag purchase when I was in college in Athens. I do have the traditional Louis Vuitton monogram Speedy 30 (according to Purse Blog, this is a very affordable statement bag, so I feel pretty good about this). I have an endless supply of Coach bags, some of which I am considering selling actually- you know, to make room for more. Loads and loads of clutches. I even have a bag, one of my favorites actually, from a local designer who no longer makes handbags. Makes me feel good to have one of a limited amount.

But… if I could choose ANY bag to have, well of course I cannot pick one so here is my list:

Hermes- Crocodile Birkin

This is the newest to my list, thanks to the aforementioned PurseBlog.com. There’s just something about a bag that can not only hold EVERYTHING but also make you wait on a 6 year long list to take it home… you know you want it, too. Louis Vuitton- Multicolore, Mirior, Watercolor Aquarelle, Damier Azur

Can one EVER have enough Louis Vuitton? I’m going to argue “no”. For the Mulitcolore, I prefer the black color. Perhaps it’s because the white one reminds me too much of the Jessica Simpson-Nick Lachey marriage debaucle that played itself out on MTV’s “Newlyweds”- and don’t get me wrong I love a good purse as much as anyone but I wouldn’t be dumb enough to take it on a camping trip. (And I do love a good camping trip, also.) However I guess we couldn’t expect too much from Miss Chicken-Of-The-Sea-Is-It-Tuna-What-Why-How… Jesus Christ help that child. Anyways enough of her… I love the black one.

As for the Watercolor Aquarelle, the white one seems more aesthetically pleasing to me than the brown. The colors in the monogram look kind of funny, to me, against the brown background and more complimentary in the white.

To me, the Mirior line just exudes straight up luxury. LOVE IT. Seriously love it. Would make for the perfect evening bag with a simple black cocktail dress- let the bag stand out as your one accessory. Especially with matching gold or silver shoes. AHHHHH. I need a limitless black AmEx (no I don’t).

The Damier Azur will be the next Louis Vuitton I buy, once my kids are in college and I stop paying Mercer for my own schooling. But seriously, this line is the next one I want because to me it’s just simply classic. I have the monogram Speedy 30 already in the brown color, so I would want this in the Neverfull line to be able to thrown all my stuff in. And then also a pochette to match, so that if I just needed my wallet somewhere I could pull that out. Yeah. I think that’s a great idea. 😉

Ok yall- I gotta take a break. If for no other reason that I don’t start whipping out my credit cards and going shopping… Part Two for later this week, or once my shopping frenzy starts to settle.
